July College Basketball top-25 rankings update
Although news isn’t as rampant in June and July, several teams made moves that raise them in my July version of SeanPaulCBB’s top-25 rankings. Such as Pete Nance to UNC, Youssef Khayat to Michigan, Courtney Ramey to Arizona and Kerwin Walton to Texas Tech.
1.) Gonzaga
PG: Nolan Hickman
SG: Rasir Bolton
SF: Malachi Smith
PF: Julian Strawther
C: Drew Timme
Bench: Hunter Sallis, Efton Reid, Anton Watson, Ben Gregg, Kaden Perry, Dom Harris, Braden Huff, Martynas Arlauskas
Departures: Chet Holmgren, Andrew Nembhard
Gonzaga deserves the top ranking with the trio of Drew Timme, Rasir Bolton, and Julian Strawther back in Spokane. Timme's already established himself as a legend at Gonzaga -- can he further cement a legacy by helping the Zags finally win the title? Keep an eye on the progression from Hunter Sallis and Nolan Hickman as sophomores, especially Hickman as the point guard. UPDATE: With Malachi Smith committing to Gonzaga, he’ll likely start next to Hickman and Bolton — putting another ball-handler with experience on the floor.
2.) North Carolina
